Resort season is when Amy Smilovic says she leans into Tibi’s brand code — à Her pragmatic approach to personal style — and enhancing it.
As seen in the latest collection, this means playing with the new signature nylon layering, especially through brightly colored poufed peplum “skirts” styled on everything from sporty zip-up jackets to casual cashmere T-shirts to creased plaid button-downs. They’re fun this season, and will definitely amplify a wardrobe’s personality.
The pop of color showcases Smilovic’s emphasis on utilizing the Tibi Color Wheel (the collection will be released alongside the brand’s four-part Color Book compilation) to mix the basic tones of her Ring 3 gray-brown — “a color that has a truly debatable and inexplicable name” — contrasting with more well-known colors (neutrals and bolds) to create a fresh look.
And after a long, dreary winter, the designer says while he loves big, stark and modern styles, he’s most drawn to cozier options in his eclectic palette, “to be able to get out and curl up in.” This meant developing long-sleeved polos in rich colors, reworking his favorite silk tops of 2018 into comfortable jerseys, refining belted sweatshirts with sharper, more modern silhouettes, and creating removable anoraks from flannel. Additionally, custom floral silk jacquard will be available not only in feminine dresses, but also in matching track layers.
But at Tibi, the friction between hard and soft materials always comes into play, as seen on the three-buckle belt, while its playful edge makes for funky wide sandals.
“The shoe is a really good result – it was originally a peep toe, but the factory made it too wide,” Smilovic said of the footwear, which he said had something “unsettling” about it.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
