MORE MOSES: Artist, designer and self-proclaimed bohemian Rebecca Moses unveiled her latest collection of paintings, “Elegance in Suspension,” at Ralph Pucci gallery in Los Angeles on April 7.
“This series features a collection of paintings depicting women occupying and moving through space with certainty, even though the environment remains unresolved,” Moses said.
The figures in the painting are meticulously rendered in black, and as Moses says, “feel fully realized and grounded.” However, the interior around the women is “abstracted into fields of soft color and modular shapes, suggesting a space shaped by thought and memory rather than literal architecture,” Moses said. “These paintings explore the tension between control and openness, precision and ambiguity.”
Moses will show five canvases, each 6 by 5 feet and all painted in acrylic, as well as 10 works on paper, each 9 by 12 inches, also in acrylic.
The collection is the latest of several collaborations over the past 10 years between Moses and Ralph Pucci. Previous works shown at Pucci include Moses’ debut collection “Imperfectly Perfect,” which introduced his distinctive visual language to the gallery through expressive, fashion-based works that celebrate modern individuality and femininity; a series of female portraits, “Bohemian Gardens,” featuring large canvases with intricate printed motifs and half-dressed women embodying the spirit of liberation and self-expression, as well as a series of paintings depicting powerful and influential black female jazz singers of the 20th century. Moses also created mannequins for Pucci, and is known for his fashion designs and fashion illustrations.
Initially, Pucci was a mannequin repair shop and later became a mannequin manufacturer. Over the years, Ralph Pucci expanded his business to showcase luxury furniture, lighting, sculpture, photography and art, as demand for mannequins from retailers decreased. Pucci operates permanent galleries in New York, Los Angeles and Miami, and has held pop-ups in London.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
