Palm and Magnolia in Disney

When most people planned a trip to Disney, they planned a trip to the ‘House of the Mouse’ … Mickey Mouse that … for me, however, the Palm and Magnolia golf course are two more stops on my Tiger Challenge. Tiger Woods who is 20 years old won the victory of his second PGA Tour at Magnolia Course in 96 ‘and three years later did it again with true Tiger mode.

When I planned my trip to the Disney golf course, it quickly became clear that it would be useful to stay in the Disney property to use their shuttle to and from the course. I planned a 3 -day trip, 2 nights in February in the hope of playing several great courses and gaining time in the sun and out of cold.

My Disney Golf Florida adventure began on the Palm golf course. I’m not sure what is expected when playing Disney courses, however, the experience is ‘magic’ from Tee to Hijau. In true Disney mode, everyone I meet is fun, happy, and generally wants me to have the best experience.

Placing green in the facility is spectacular. To be honest, I can spend more time in green training because they have a 18-hole mini golf course (with score cards) available. After warming up, it’s time to crash into a link.

This course is played around 6300 yard from Tee Putih. After chatting with local residents and course personnel (and reading all nameplates) I learned that in 2013 the Arnold Palmer company had taken over as a management company for this Disney property. The Palmer company is investing time and resources to return courses to multilevel splendor.

Overall, the average palm of the hand … a decent fairway, good manicured bunker, and fine green. The real challenge in the palm of the hand is the danger of water that is placed right in places that cause me a little sadness. In addition, the course has palm trees lining most of the holes and a few wildlife present. I was delayed because of the ‘Bottle Opening Turkey’ and ran to the crocodile relaxing a few holes later.

The two most memorable holes in the field for me are #6 and #18. Hole #6 is Par 4 long with water coating the left side … kerplunk … I found danger. The hole then needed a shot to force it from the fairway to green because it was also surrounded by water. Think of yourself if you don’t find water that plays this hole. Hole #18 is another par 4 but requires a shot on the fairway from the Tee box. The hole is long and narrow with water in front of green. I ended my day with a scourge in this hole because I did not lose the green color and needed to crash into the slices and ended my day with two putt.

Overall, while it was not my best golf day, that day made me excited to play Magnolia in the morning.

The TEE time process on the Palm and Magnolia golf course is very easy to be navigated and securing time is very easy. I ordered both of my time online. I really have to call a pro shop to change once and they make accommodation by telephone. Disney uses a dynamic price so I pay around $ 130 to play the palm of my hand and $ 90 for Magnolia (currently offering a 33% discount due to hole closure).

On the last day of my 3 -day vacation, I played Magnolia Golf Course. Because I had to check my hotel, I arrived at the field like Sherpa with a travel bag, backpack, a tote bag, and a golf bag behind it. Fortunately, I met a starter who was very helpful the day before which helped me store my luggage in the locked staff room until I finished my round (because I was going to the airport from the course). After getting rid of everything and getting a cushion I finally walked to the course.

In the beginning, I was disappointed to hear that only 14 holes were open to play in Magnolia’s courses but I used my time by spending extra time at the heating range and absorbing the sun. This course is undergoing renovations in the hope of bringing a large tournament back in the near future. My disappointment reversed 180 ° when I played the first hole. Magnolia in the phenomenal form and its own way has so many personalities and characters. As the name suggests, Magnolia trees can be found throughout the course. In addition, if you are a lover of nature, a course is certified as a place for cooperative wildlife protection.

When I play Magnolia, I remember how nice it was to play courses that had a wide fairway that challenged you with various risk exposure situations. In a true Disney mode, the 6th -standing hole is par 3 which has a bunker shaped like a mickey mouse with water in front of green. The nine front play fair and for me, the eighth hole Par 5 stands out. The hole is long … very long … requires a well -placed Tee shot and the second shot to give you the opportunity to hit green in the rules. After you get green, the pleasure begins. Green is a series of understanding and reading that seems to have double rest in all directions. I somehow manage the equivalent in this hole after making the Putt that knocked the knee long! When I turned, I was very surprised about how I enjoyed Magnolia and the last 5 holes were even more spectacular (there was no harm in I played the last 5 holes even with par). When I finished my round, I peeked at the construction that occurred on #16, #17, and #18. Only from what I can see, the last 3 finishing holes will be spectacular and become a great championship event.

After turning on my golf train, I had lunch at ‘Chip and Dale Deli’ right at the location. After completing the turkey and cheese, I took my things, packed and changed in the dressing room, and called Uber to the airport!
