Asian Women’s Volleyball National Cup 2025 will begin. Liao Yiren, who served as the Captain of the Adult Team for the first time, said that he had a learning attitude and hoped to bring the team cohesion and break through the achievements of the past in this event.
“This is my first time as a captain. This is a new responsibility and challenge for me, and I hope to bring the team’s atmosphere better,” he said.
Last season, Liao Yiren traveled abroad to Japan for the first time joining Kanoa Fukuoka. He has gathered experiences and has now returned to the national team. He also shared that he had improved his ability to work together quickly with strange teammates. “This is very important for a player. The Chinese team this time is also very special. There are new members and teammates who have struggled side by side. I think it is a very fresh and energetic Chinese team.”

When he came to his feelings for the National Cup, Liao Yiren was full of hope. “Every time I can wear a Chinese team’s robe it is a big honor. I am very excited and hope to show an achievement that has been accumulated since the training camp.”
This competition, the Chinese team is in the same group as Vietnam. Vietnam has repeatedly become the level of efforts of the Chinese team to advance. “Actually, we have played against Vietnam many times and are a very close opponent. But I think we still have to take it step by step, put the first destination in the top two in the group, and try to enter the final. We must not underestimate opponents like Australia and India in the preliminary round.”
