Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have reported a traffic incident involving an overturned cement truck on Brookshire Boulevard, north of I-485.
One lane of Brookshire Boulevard is currently shut down, leading to major traffic delays all around the area.
Commuters are advised to seek alternative routes this morning due to the ongoing response to the accident.

Authorities are now on the scene managing the situation. Mecklenburg EMS has confirmed that their team extricated the driver from the vehicle.

Following the rescue, the driver received immediate medical attention for serious injuries and was subsequently transported to a local hospital for further treatment.
