With Air Max Day passing in March, one might assume that Nike projects like Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment Design and the University of Oregon’s Ducks of a Feather would be considered the most coveted Air Max franchise collaborations of 2026. However, the Beaverton, Oregon-based sportswear company is experiencing another drop that may top each of the pairs we’ve seen.
For its first collaboration with Lagos, Nigeria-based music festival and fashion label, Homecoming, Nike handed over the keys to the brand’s founder, Grace Ladoja, who made history as the first African woman to design shoes for the sportswear giant. Ladoja’s collaboration is rooted in her childhood in West Africa and comes in two colorways: a black look inspired by the Pan African flag and an orange “African Sunrise” makeup.
More than just a meaningful color combination, the Homecoming x Nike Air Max Plus sneakers are decorated with details that hark back to Ladoja’s experience. Unlike the regular mesh found on the model, the Homecoming collaboration features a special tight mesh construction inspired by African sponges, which Ladoja calls a Nigerian household staple. The toe box has a dipped finish — a nod to the historical demise of tilapia in West Africa.

The sneakers come alive in the laces, which feature a series of extra, non-functional laces that Ladoja says are inspired by the flamboyant and over-the-top Nigerian style. Several removable charms are included on the shoe including a cowrie shell, eagle, black globe and gold African pendant.
Born in London to Nigerian parents, Ladoja’s collaboration reflects what he calls “two homes” by taking London’s beloved Air Max Plus silhouette and adding specifically African elements. Ladoja founded Homecoming, also known as Our Homecoming, in 2018. The three-day festival takes place over Easter weekend and highlights local art, fashion, music and sports.

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
