Panthers Staying In The Carolinas After Stadium Agreement Officially Renewed

March 13, 2026 by pohon

The Carolina Panthers and Bank of America have announced the renewal of their naming rights agreement for Bank of America Stadium, continuing a partnership that began in 2004 and saving a potential move of Tepper’s team out of the Carolinas.

The stadium, initially focused on Panthers football, has evolved into a versatile venue hosting soccer, concerts, and various events, benefiting the local economy.

The partnership extends beyond naming rights, with both organizations collaborating on community initiatives like the 3rd & Goal literacy program, Teacher of the Year award, Regional Spelling Bee Program, and the Play it Forward clinic.

Bank of America Stadium has seen a dramatic increase in its event calendar, growing from about 10 football events annually to nearly 40 major events, drawing visitors from across the U.S. and 31 countries. This includes the upcoming Duke’s Mayo Bowl and the prestigious CONMEBOL’s Copa America 2024, expected to attract 150,000 visitors next July.

The stadium also plays a vital role in the community, hosting numerous corporate and community events, serving as a mass vaccination site in 2020, and facilitating early voting in the 2020 and 2022 elections.
